Gucci obtained a partial victory against Guess before the Milan Court of Appeal for unfair competition since the court held that Guess copied a number of products of the well-known fashion house of Florence.
Wearables might no longer be the same after yesterday's keynote speech. We will see whether the expectations will be met, but certainly considerable legal hurdles shall be overcome to boost the success of such products.
The approval of technical standards introducing an RFID logo and a process for their data protection impact assessment required to comply with the EU Recommendation on RFIDs are expected to boost their usage in several fields including the Internet of Things.
