


The court of Rome (Italy) held that Wikipediaย defamatory contents published by its users do not lead to Wikipedia's liabilityย in a case involving contents published on Wikipedia regarding an Italian lawyer and former politician Mr. Cesare Previti which according to the latter were defamatory. ย Only Wikipedia users themselves could be deemed responsible for the published Wikipedia defamatory contents .


The Italian Data Protection Authority issued direct marketing data protectionย guidelines aimed at setting out general regulations on privacy-related obligations concerning direct marketing practices and against spamming initiatives which provide very interesting insights.ย
