Italian players can now bet through Italian licensed platforms and betting shops on the same types of bets and events offered on foreign licensed platforms because of gaming law changes setting the playfield for a substantial growth for the Italian sportsbetting market. 

The Italian gambling regulator has now confirmed that they are considering to oblige also online game suppliers to hold an Italian remote gaming license in order to offer their games to Italian residents as a gaming law measure to fight against the black market.
